Winfrey was born to a mother in a poor village in Mississippi, and her childhood was in Milwaukee. In her childhood, she faced many troubles, according to which she was raped at the age of nine and she became pregnant at the age of fourteen. Her son died in the womb. She was left to live with a barber in Tennessee, whom she calls her father. While living there, he started working in radio and at the age of 19, he became a co-host in domestic news while studying in high school. Winfrey was born to a virgin mother in a poor village in Mississippi. His mother Vernita Lee (born 1935) is a housewife. Winfrey’s biological father is believed to be Vernon Winfrey (born 1933), who was a coal digger, later with the armed forces at the time of Winfrey’s birth.

However, farmers in Mississippi and World War II Veteran Noah Robinson (born C.1925) discovered their biological father. After Winfrey was born, her mother traveled north, and at the age of 6, Winfrey moved with her mother, Vernita Lee, to the neighboring village of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
